TRANSCRIPT AUTHENTICITY
To test for authenticity: This transcript is printed on one of the most technically advanced security papers. When scanned or photocopied the words “Void” and “VoidSecure” will appear on the copy. The paper contains invisible fluorescent security fibers and is chemically sensitive to a variety of document altering chemicals providing a visible stain or starburst reaction on the paper when document altering chemicals are applied. TonerSecure bonds paper and toner and attempts to remove printed images will damage the paper surface, revealing the alteration. It also contains an artificial watermark on the back which can be seen by holding the sheet at an angle where you can see a stamp mark image of VoidSecure®. This artificial watermark can also be validated by rubbing the edge of a coin along the back of the sheet for the image to appear.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR
KansasCOM operates on a trimester basis with three trimesters each academic year.
ACADEMIC GOOD STANDING
Students who are successfully completing all medical school requirements with no missing grades are considered in good standing. Students must be currently enrolled or eligible to be enrolled.
ACCREDITATION
Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (KansasCOM) has been granted pre-accreditation status from the American Osteopathic Association’s Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA). COCA is the accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) for doctoral education of osteopathic physicians in the United States.

KansasCOM utilizes pass/fail grades in their grading system. KansasCOM does not post a GPA.
Courses accepted in transfer toward the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program are marked as TR for Transfer. Transfer coursework is not utilized in determining honors or awards.

HONORS
Dean’s List is comprised of the top ten (10) percent of the OMS I and OMS II classes. The notation is listed after the final term of each academic year.
REPEATS
All course enrollment and earned grades will remain on a student’s official transcript. Once a student successfully repeats a course, both grades will remain on the transcript, but only the most recent grade will be used for the purpose of earned credit.
RIGHTS AND PRIVACY
Pursuant to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, this information has been provided to the receiver with the understanding that it will be used for the purposes for which it has been provided and that it will NOT be related to additional parties without the student’s express written consent.
Transcript Ordering
The Office of the Registrar utilizes the National Student Clearinghouse to process transcripts. Please click on the following link to order a transcript: ORDER
Official transcripts cost $20 per transcript, due at the time of the request. Requests will not be processed unless payment has been received in full. Official transcripts are forwarded directly to the receiving party. If a transcript is verified as received, via certified mail, but the recipient is unable to locate the transcript, the student is responsible for requesting and paying for another transcript to be sent. Unofficial transcripts do not carry the KHSU-KansasCOM seal and are stamped with red ink identifier. Unofficial transcripts are free of charge through the student portal.
KHSU-KansasCOM has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide transcripts on behalf of the institution. There are multiple delivery options available through NSC. Please review transcript and delivery fee options prior to requesting a transcript. Students are responsible for the cost of the transcript AND the shipping costs. There is no charge for shipping for electronic PDF and regular mail transcripts; all other services incur shipping charges.
