I graduated from Buhler High School in 1967 and received my bachelor's degree in Biology from Wichita State University in 1971. I was accepted and attended The University of Kansas School of Medicine, and then completed my residency in Internal Medicine. I practiced my entire career in Wichita and retired from my active practice in 2014. Since then I have participated in volunteer activities, including medical missions to Central America, prior to Covid-19, serving on Boards at Wichita State University, Larksfield Place Retirement Center, and the Wesley Research Board.
