Megan Bayer is a registered nurse, an international board-certified lactation consultant and a certified healthcare simulation educator who has participated in high fidelity simulations with students from nursing, pharmacy, and medical schools as well as in the hospital setting. She has 14 years of experience as a bedside nurse in clinical settings, including taking a contract at a local hospital on a COVID unit during the 2020 winter surge. She has a wide range of teaching experience at multiple local institutions, along with 10 years as a small business owner.

Bayer received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Wichita State University and her master's degree in nursing from Fort Hays State University. She is an active community advocate, serving in different ways. Megan and her husband call Wichita home and appreciate the culture and atmosphere it provides for their 3 adopted children.
