KansasCOM is dedicated to providing learning enhancement opportunities that ensure our students receive appropriate academic support tailored to their needs. Coursework will be challenging, but it’s important that our students remember they will never be alone in the process.
Academic Support Services
KansasCOM offers academic support, including workshops, tutoring, board exam preparations, course remediation, course reviews, and one-on-one academic counseling. Students are encouraged to seek this support proactively and to recognize needs as they arise, ultimately setting themselves up for academic success.
Tutoring Program
In medical school, tutoring is not considered remedial. Medical school coursework is rigorous, and tutoring can be an excellent opportunity for additional or supplemental learning.
KansasCOM students have opportunities to work in large or small group tutoring sessions, as well as personalized one-on-one tutoring. Our tutors hold Ph.D.s, DOs, and MDs. A large group of academically successful second-year students are also available to tutor first-year students.
